Ärzte ohne Grenzen wurde als fiktiver Werbespot entwickelt.
Das Bild ist zweigeteilt: Eine Hälfte zeigt eine krankes Mädchen, das alleine in einem verlassenen Krankenhaus liegt und auf Hilfe wartet. Die andere zeigt eine Gruppe Ärzte, die ihm zu Hilfe eilen. Dabei stößt aber einer nach dem anderen gegen unsichtbare Hindernisse. Selbst die Tatsache, dass das Mädchen den Split Screen zerbricht und damit die beiden Bilder miteinander verbindet, hilft nichts mehr. Die Tagline wird eingeblendet.
Der Regisseur Thomas Schmid hat mit zwei verschiedenen Kameramännern auf zwei verschiedenen Sets gearbeitet. Ich war verantwortlicher Kameramann auf dem Low-Key Set, wo wir die Patientenszenen gedreht haben.

One after another they bump into invisible obstacles. Even when the girl crashes the split-screen, the last doctor slips and falls. The tagline fades in.
The Director Thomas Schmid was working with two different Directors of Photography on two different days and sets. I was the responsible DoP on the Low-Key set, shooting the scenes with the patient.

L’image est divisée en deux: une partie montre une fille malade qui se trouve seule à l’hôpital en attendant de l’aide, l’autre montre un groupe de médecins qui se précipitent vers elle. Ils n’arrivent pas à l’atteindre car ils se heurtent, l’un après l’autre, à des obstacles invisibles. Même quand la fille réunit les deux images de la partition, la situation ne s’améliore pas. La morale s’affiche: Une aide ne peut aider que si elle arrive à sa destination. [Hilfe hilft nur, wenn sie ankommt.]
